سقوط حكم البعث… ما معناه لبنانياً؟

سقط النظام السوري بعد 14 عاماً من اندلاع الثورة السورية فجر الأحد 8 كانون الأول/ ديسمبر 2024. لطالما كان للبنان نصيب من جرائم النظام السوري. فبعد مرور عام على اندلاع الحرب الأهلية اللبنانية، نشر الجيش السوري 30 ألف جندي على الأراضي اللبنانية. استمرت فترة الوصاية السورية لمدة 29 عاماً، كُرّس خلالها النظام الفاسد والزبائنية، حتى بعد خروج آخر جندي من الأراضي اللبنانية عقب اغتيال رئيس الوزراء رفيق الحريري. تدخّل النظام السوري في السياسة اللبنانية بشكل مباشر، إذ اشتهر مركز المخابرات في عنجر البقاعية بتعيين الوزراء وإقالتهم. وارتكب النظام السوري جرائم ضد الإنسانية في لبنان، إذ اعتقل وأخفى قسراً، جنوداً ومدنيين لبنانيين وفلسطينيين، في انتهاك لجميع قوانين حقوق الإنسان. The Syrian regime fell after 14 years of the Syrian Revolution on the morning of Sunday December 8, 2024. Lebanon has long been affected by the crimes of the Syrian regime. A year after the outbreak of the Lebanese civil war, the Syrian army deployed 30,000 soldiers on Lebanese soil. The Syrian mandate lasted for 29 years, during which time the corrupt system and clientelism were solidified, even after the last Syrian soldier left Lebanese territory following the assassination of Prime Minister Rafic Hariri. The Syrian regime intervened directly in Lebanese politics, with the intelligence center in Anjar, Bekaa Valley, being notorious for appointing and dismissing ministers. The Syrian regime committed crimes against humanity in Lebanon, including the arbitrary arrest and enforced disappearance of Lebanese and Palestinian soldiers and civilians, in violation of all human rights laws
